Fireglow

Fireglow is an upright Magnolia with white tulip-shaped flowers, each tepal with a permanent candy-pink line from the base.

It grows in a strongly tree-like form, with a central stem, and should reach about 4m in the longer term.

    History

    Fireglow is also known as "Pickard's hybrid". It is a hybrid of two Magnolia species, Magnolia cylindrica and Magnolia denudata 'Sawada's Pink'. It was raised by American Magnolia enthusiast Phil Savage.
