Brandywine

Acer rubrum

Brandywine is a good example of the popular Red Maple (Acer rubrum).

Although our maritime climate is not conducive to the intense autumn leaf colour displays associated with this species in its native North America, Brandywine is one of the most reliable for autumn colours in the UK, and keeps its leaves longer in the autumn than others.
