Stared is a form of the North American sweet gum. It is named for its small dainty 7-lobed leaves which are deeply incised and resemble stars.
As you would expect from a Liquidambar, the leaves take on vibrant red and orange colours in autumn.
Stared is a bit smaller than most Liquidambars, and more slow-growing, making it ideal for bringing autumn colour to smaller gardens.
Illustrative example of a pot-grown tree of this variety as supplied. Approximate girth: 6/8cm. Trees should reach their mature height after about 10 or more years.
