Autumnalis

Prunus Autumnalis White is a small bushy flowering cherry tree, with white semi-double blossoms.

Autumnalis White has an unusual feature of coming into flower exceptionally early in the year, making it a cheerful sight in the gloom of mid-winter when all else seems dead. In fact it is very sensitive to warm spells at the end of autumn - a few mild days in December will cause a light flush of blossom to appear, before being gradually replaced by the full flowering of larger and more profuse spring blossom. Although winter frosts will kill the blossom, more flowers will usually appear throughout January and February.
