Chocolate Ice has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit

Chocolate Ice is a modern Japanese cherry blossom tree, named for the copper-brown colour of the young leaves, which contrast with the white blossom.

The flowers are single or semi-double, and larger than most.

In autumn the leaves take on fiery orange colours.
