Kasanlak

Cornus mas

Kasanlak is a modern form of the the Cornelian Cherry (Cornus mas) and features larger pear-like fruits, which ripen in late summer.

As with all forms of the Cornelian Cherry the fruitlets are primarily used for culinary purposes, but they are very versatile, and can be used for jams, drying, or even eaten raw if you like an acidic flavour.
