White Chocolate

Betula ermanii

White Chocolate is a fast growing birch tree with a bright white stem.

The bark is pale brown on juvenile trees, and becomes white when the tree is around 3-5 years old.

White Chocolate is a good choice if you want a white-stemmed birch tree but don't have much space, as its mature height is only around 4m or so, and it has a narrow pyramidal habit.

The small green leaves taken on yellow hues in the autumn.
